Granite Ridge is only a small concern, but large on quality, and thus not prepared to produce animals to “keep our figures up”. Our animals are naturally raised using natural products to enhance the health of the animal and the quality of the beef. A balance of all nutrients is used ensuring healthy animals and clean, fresh meat for the consumer.
The stress reduction of the animals is strongly addressed from birth to slaughter and in turn, adding to the quality of the finished product. Starting with a mixture of both native and introduced pastures, all animals are grown for extra quality and flavour for the benefit of the consumer. All animals are selected when ready for processing, not before, thus you can be sure of quality beef.
Both the abattoir and butcher used for processing are of the highest standard, with great care taken with all Granite Ridge animals. All carcases are dry aged for an extended time, allowing the taste and cooking quality to improve.As well as primary cuts, the secondary cuts are also of the highest quality.
